Meet Our Centre Manager: Nicola Lee

The Newhaven Enterprise Centre is home to a thriving community of businesses, and at the heart of it all is our friendly and dedicated Centre Manager, Nicola Lee. Nicola joined the Let’s Do Business Group back in March 2024, bringing a wealth of experience in customer facing roles and has a real passion for supporting local businesses.

Originally from Surrey, Nicola has called Newhaven home for the past two and a half years. Her professional background is rooted in the fitness industry, where she worked as a self-employed fitness instructor before progressing into training and gym management. After over eleven years in the industry, Nicola was ready for a career change and one which offered a better work-life balance while still allowing her to utilise her skills in customer service, organisation, and community engagement.

As Centre Manager, no two days are ever the same. She’s always on hand to help tenants and visitors, whether it’s managing bookings with the Centre’s Handy Man, Dave, handling invoicing, organising networking events, liaising with contractors, or showing potential tenants around. She also keeps everything running smoothly behind the scenes, from budgeting to keeping our CRM updated.

One of the main reasons Nicola loves working at the Newhaven Enterprise Centre is due to the strong sense of community, with a warm and welcoming vibe. Plus, with the Centre being only a short ten-minute walk from home, it ticks all the right boxes for the balance she was after. An added perk? She can bring her dog to work!

For Nicola, the biggest highlights of her job is the people around her. She feels truly valued as a member of the Let’s Do Business Group team and she is also excited to continue developing her knowledge about business and finance, further expanding her expertise.
