Seahaven Business Awards 2024
/Newhaven Enterprise Centre were delighted to sponsor the award ‘Best New Business’, and celebrate our tenant Take Good Care for making the shortlist for the ‘Best Environmental Business’!
Held on Friday 17th May, the 19th annual Seahaven Business Awards 2024 was a grand event, which celebrated local businesses from Seaford, Newhaven, and Peacehaven, and their remarkable achievements contributing to the local economy and community at the Jerrom Hall in Peacehaven.
The host of the evening for over 100 guests was John Young, whose expertise and flair as a past BBC news journalist made the evening all the more special.

The Seahaven Business Awards were supported by a number of local sponsors including Newhaven Enterprise Centre, who sponsored the ‘Best New Business’ award, with the categories judged by the local MPs, and the Presidents of the Newhaven, Seaford, and Peacehaven Chamber of Commerce.
The key sponsors for the evening were Charles Cox Group, Lewes District Council, Meeching Estate Agents, Cleankill, V R Flowers & Son, Arlettes Florists, Seahaven FM and 2nd Cup of Tea
The winners of each category received their award and a certificate, recognising the exceptional local businesses and individuals that demonstrate resilience, innovation, commitment to their staff, and those who take great pride in being part of the community.

Business of the Year
The most prestigious category, Business of the Year, sponsored by Newhaven Enterprise Zone, recognised overall excellence in business performance, innovation, and community involvement. The winners were:

3rd – The Yemeni Coffee Company
Best Customer Service Award
Sponsored by Sussex Sign Company, the Best Customer Service award honoured businesses that excelled in providing exceptional customer experiences. The winners were:

3rd – Havens Community Cars
Business Person of the Year
Sponsored by Swindell’s accounting, the Business Person of the Year award category recognised exceptional individuals who made a significant impact on their businesses and the local community. The winners were:
